Indian spice exports rise in July but are still lower for season so far

INDIA'S spices exports were 4% up in volume this July at 40,625 tonnes from 38,975 tonnes in July 2008 and 4% lower in value at Rs4.6bn ($93.7m) against Rs4.8bn in the same month a year ago, but overall sales for the season are still lagging behind those of a year ago.
